From your hotel join the guide and the coach for a visit to Saverne, the rose city. The visit includes a guided tour of the old city, the Rohan Castle and the Katz house (typical Alsatian house). Continue to the boat life of Arzviller, the only transversal type in Europe, situated on the Marne-Rhine canal which bypasses a succession of 17 locks. Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit the ruins of the Haut Barr castle and its Romanesque 12th century chapel. Pass by the Chappe telegraph tower. This particular station was one essential link along the Paris-Strasbourg line. On the way back stop at Marmoutier to visit the Abbey, one of the oldest in Alsace. Return to Strasbourg in the late afternoon.

Discover of Baden-Baden the thermal resort and the former « Summer Capital of Europe » and also well known for its casinos. Return way to Strasbourg at the end of the afternoon through the Hochschwarzwald Route, the Black Forest ridge road. You will also have a wine tasting and enjoy the different grapes varieties at a delighted wine producer’s cellar. Lunch in a traditional restaurant. In the afternoon, visit of Kaysersberg, the Albert Schweitzer’s birth place who was Nobel Peace prize in 1952. Visit of the Albert Schweitzer museum.
